About the game

Dream Rider is a calm, fast downhill ride on a board along real roads. The tracks come from OpenStreetMap and terrain elevation data: the SR366 above Amalfi, the alpine hairpins of Stelvio and the Road of a Hundred Bends in Poland’s Table Mountains at dusk.

The rider is one of six Mixamo characters. Skin and face stay as they are, while the clothes and hair are faceted high-index glass. Every facet catches the sun at its own angle and splits it into a rainbow that moves with each turn.

You cannot lose. Space launches you high from anywhere on the road, every flight comes down on the road and tricks finish themselves, so the air is for spins, flips, grabs and kickflips.

Controls

  • A/D or arrows: steer; spin in the air.
  • Space: big jump; kickflip in the air.
  • W/S: lean; front and back flips in the air.
  • E: grab; Shift: boost; Ctrl: hand-down brake.
  • F: fullscreen; Esc: pause. A gamepad works too.
